POKHARA: Police arrested three persons, including former Vice- Chair of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Kaski chapter, Rajendra Adhikari during a demonstration of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) led Communist Party of Nepal close student union (ANNIFSU) on Monday.
According to Kaski District Police Office, ANNFSU Prithvi Narayan Campus coordinator Prakash Bastola and another student leader Ujjawal Pun were also arrested while they were carrying out the torch rally in the protest demanding the immediate release of arrested CPN cadets.
Police arrested Adhikari who is also a member of the FNJ Central Council while he was taking pictures of the demonstration. He was released later this morning.
According to Kaski Chief District Administration Officer Chakra Bahadur Budha, three persons were arrested on the suspicion of Biplav cadets and will be be made public after the investigation.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Om Rana.
