19 injured in Dasdhunga bus-truck collision

CHITWAN: As many as nineteen passengers were injured after the bus they were travelling on collided with a truck in Dasdhunga along the Narayangadh-Mugling road section of Chitwan district on Sunday night.

Among the injured, six are said to be in critical condition.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 5 Kha 8044) en route from Surkhet to Kathmandu collided head-on with the truck (Ga 1 Kha 8577) heading to Kathmandu from Bhairahawa at 11:25 pm yesterday.

The injured were rushed to Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences where they are undergoing treatment, police informed.

It has been learnt that a total of 35 passengers were travelling on the bus.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
