Three school, campus buildings constructed with Indian support

Three school and campus buildings constructed with the financial support of the Government of India were inaugurated in Kaski today.

Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari inaugurated the newly constructed building of Shree Saraswati Tika Higher Secondary School in Lekhnath.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Ajay Kumar. DCM  Ajay Kumar inaugurated the new buildings of Shree Laxmi Adarsha Multiple Campus, Lekhnath, and Shree Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus, Pokhara.

The building of Shree SaraswatiTika Higher Secondary School has been built with Indian assistance of Rs 37.10 million. It is a prestigious school in Kaski and has been providing quality education to students from Pokhara Metropolitan City. The school has 1,100 students of which around 45 per cent are girls.

Building of Shree Laxmi Adarsha Multiple Campus has been built with Indian assistance of Rs 48.40 million. The campus is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. The campus runs BEd programme and Plus Two in management, education and humanities. The campus has 450 students of which around  85 per cent are girls.

Similarly, the new building of Gupteshwar Mahadev Multiple Campus has been built with Indian assistance of Rs 41.10 million. This is also affiliated to Tribhuvan University.

The campus runs BEd, BBS and MBS programmes. From academic session 2018, Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus has been running classes for BHM and BIM also. The campus has around 418 students of which 80 per cent are girls.
