KAWASOTI: Eleven people were injured in a road accident at Arun Khola in Madhyabindu Municipality-11 of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway this morning.
The incident occurred when a passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 8439) heading for Kathmandu from Bardia hit a stationary truck on the road, Information Officer at District Police Office, Nawalparasi East, Lilaraj Lamichane said.
The injured — whose identities are yet to be ascertained — are undergoing treatment in Bharatpur.
Meanwhile, one person was injured in another road accident that took place last night in the district.
Suman Adhikari (45) of Devchuli Municipality-16 was injured after a motorcycle (Na 42 Pa 5095) was hit by a truck on the highway in the same locality, police said.
Condition of Adhikari, who is undergoing treatment in Bharatpur, is reported to be critical.
